Investing Today to Create Tomorrow's Impact

Gift Reinvestment Fee (GRF)

Utah Tech University is preparing for the most ambitious philanthropic effort in its history—our first comprehensive fundraising campaign. This campaign will help expand scholarship opportunities, strengthen academic programs, enhance student experiences, and invest in facilities and initiatives that will benefit students and Southern Utah for generations to come. Building a successful campaign requires thoughtful investment. To support this important work, the Utah Tech University Advancement office and Foundation has implemented a 5% temporary Gift Reinvestment Fee as of July 1st, 2026. This fee provides the resources necessary to strengthen our fundraising efforts, expand donor engagement, and build a sustainable culture of philanthropy that will continue serving the university long after the campaign concludes.

Our goal is simple: generate significantly more support for the students, faculty, and programs that define Utah Tech University.

What Is the Gift Reinvestment Fee?

The Gift Reinvestment Fee is a temporary assessment applied to eligible charitable gifts received by the Utah Tech University and it’s Foundation. Rather than covering general operating expenses, these funds are reinvested directly into the university’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts.

This approach allows the Foundation to develop the people, technology, and resources needed to cultivate new philanthropic partnerships, provide exceptional stewardship to existing donors, and maximize the long-term impact of every charitable contribution.

How Your Gift Is Reinvested

Revenue generated through the Gift Reinvestment Fee helps support:

  • Identifying and engaging prospective donors
  • Building meaningful relationships with alumni, friends, and community partners
  • Stewarding donors through timely communication, recognition, and impact reporting
  • Campaign communications and marketing
  • Prospect research and data managementGift processing and financial reporting
  • Advancement technology and fundraising systems
  • Campaign staffing and volunteer support

Every one of these investments is designed to increase future philanthropic support for Utah Tech University.
